“ You need
a home inspection. “
Inspections
can more than pay for themselves!
Moving is one of life’s most stressful periods. It is hard on the whole family. A home inspection can help relieve stress
by giving you the information you need to make an informed decision.
Frequently
Asked Questions
I’m Buying
my home. Why do I need an inspection?
The
purchase of a home is probably the largest single investment you will ever make.
You should learn as much as you can about the condition of the property
and the need for any major repairs before you buy.
I’m Selling my home. Should I get an inspection?
If you’re ready to sell, an inspection allows you to
see your home through the eyes of a critical third party. It helps you make repairs before they become
negotiating stumbling blocks.
I’m planning on Leasing. Do I need an inspection?
Yes.
Your family’s safety is of major concern, and you may be responsible for
the maintenance and repairs. Check your
contract before you sign.
I’m
Renting. Do I still need an inspection?
Yes.
As with leasing, your family’s safety is a major concern. Systems that are improperly functioning can
be dangerous, and costly to operate.
Your
satisfaction is our goal.

Do I have
to fix items listed on the home inspection?
The
answer is NO. The choice is yours. A Home Inspector reports to you conditions that
should be corrected, or not up to the way new homes are built. Requirements of homes change over time. Your house may be built before certain
changes went into affect. Inspections
are based are current requirements, and not the requirements when your house
was built. You can selectively choose
what you think is necessary to change.
The choice is yours.
How long
does a home inspection take?
Home
inspections vary by each inspector, and by the size and condition of the home. Some Inspectors can inspect a home in an
hour. I find it takes an average of 3
hours per home to do a thorough inspection.
When will
I receive my report?
You
will normally receive the report within 30 minutes after the inspection. Reports are done by computer and printed at
the inspection site.
